The Police Station first operated in the middle of the 20th century, in 1952. It is located near the Community Council offices, in the centre of the community.
The Police department of Kakopetria carries out patrols around the eight neighbouring villages, meaning the villages of Kakopetria, Galata, Sina Oros, Kaliana, Spilia, Kourdali, Agia Eirini and Kannavia, whereas police officers also conduct traffic control.
